Here is all the travel advice you need to get to the festival.

Please be aware this is a local community festival and so there are no dedicated car parks for the event. However there are a number of car parks (charges apply) locally and street parking. We would prefer, for your own mental health and that of our neighbours if you would take public transport or just simply walk (unless you are coming from Aberdeen or Thurso!)

Walking

This is probably your best option: no need to worry about parking, times of buses, train cancellations. We are centred round Bearsden Cross.

Public Transport

Trains

Bearsden Station is only five minutes from Bearsden Cross up a steady incline. Come out the station and turn left onto Drymen Rd and walk up the gentle hill. When you reach a set of traffic lights you have arrived.

Buses

Bus routes that will all take to you Bearsden Cross

Number 15 runs from Glasgow City Centre to Milngavie via Bearsden Cross from Monday to Saturday

Number 17 City Centre to Duntocher via Bearsden Cross, Monday to Sunday

Car

If you need to come by car there are a number of car parks.

Station Road car park is by the Railway station and is five minutes walk from Bearsden Cross

Roman Road car park (charges apply from first hour) entrance from Douglas Place G61 2SS.

Drymen Road Hub car park (charges apply from first hour) entrance on Drymen Rd G61 3QT.

Glebe car park (free) entrance from New Kirk Road G61 3RT

Street Parking

There is plenty of street parking round the cross but we ask that you do this only when you are unable to get to the festival any other way. Thorn Park will only have street parking.

If you park on the street we ask you to be as thoughtful and sensitive as you can towards all our neighbours thinking about their own access, noise levels, and ability to cross roads. The festival is happening around them and we ask that you consider their own local needs when you decide where to park.
