Story Telling in the Secret Garden

I Hope Your Flowers Bloom

4 stars scotsman symbol_edited.jpg

A thought provoking drama written and performed by Raymond Wilson, fresh from Edinburgh Fringe success!

Scottish storyteller, David Hughes told his own tales and encouraged others to join in!

More than thirty different local organisations, clubs and groups, set up their stalls and recruited new members.

"I Hope You’re Flowers Bloom is a really intimate and personal examination of masculinity, body image and nature. It’s expertly written and masterfully acted. It’s very hard to tell a story with only words and expression but Raymond Wilson really takes you on a journey with incredibly detailed descriptions and a powerful performance."

Working in partnership with Bearsden Library, a fun opportunity for young and old to find the hidden dancers among the bookshelves.

A few moments of calm with Joyce rounded the festival off nicely.

Working with local young people from Raenbow Productions, filmmakers Daniel Kerr and Max McGregor have been directing a film project where everyone has had the chance to write, plan, record and act in an original short film! The film is a take on social media, a theme very close to young people, for good and bad...

The film is currently in the editing stage, but watch this space as it will be getting screened locally!

Working over six weeks, dance experts involved six local schools in a project that saw primary seven pupils learning a number of dances and showing them off at a mass ceilidh at the Bearsden Hub!
